I believe that to remain spiritually fit, we must exercise daily like we do to remain physically fit. In a moment of clarity during my darkest times I choose to ‘go Home by another Way’. From that day onward I began to practice daily the routine of spiritual fitness. Each morning before dawn I begin my day with what I call my RPMs (Readings, Prayers and Meditations). Then hopefully God sets my mind on the right Path for the day. As I stumble during the day He nudges me back in the right direction. ‘Keeping It Simple’ and ‘Doing the Next Right Thing’ help me to harness my self-will. Since taking back my will opens the door to ‘unclean spirits.’…It requires effort, discipline and constant attendance but ‘He is the Way, the Truth and the Light’…His Way has led to a life beyond my expectations…I came to believe that God Loves me in spite of myself…For that I am Grateful!
(A cup of coffee has been part of the morning ritual since the beginning. In the last few years yin yoga was added to the ritual. The yoga helps my RA and enhances the prayers and meditations.)
