In the summer of 1962 my friends and I travelled from Cape Cod to Newport for the Newport Folk Festival. Bob Dylan made his debute…I have been a fan of his since then. Bob Dylan has decided not to attend the Nobel Prize ceremony but will send a written response to his being awarded this year’s prize for poetry. I suspect that he, like me, believe the Noble Awards have lost their value since awards have been given to people like Obama who did nothing to deserve such an accolade…enJOY this look back at Dylan!
