Thanks! It was therapy!
Wow, Dave, a very good website. And, I completely get the therapy comment. I started “exposing” myself to me a number of years back through journaling. Through that medium I was brutally honest and candid, and tough. And, because of that, I learned a lot about myself–especially during those times I went back and re-read what I had written. It was written in a no-holds-bar style and was quite revealing. So I took it to the next level and started a blog site which I also kept up for a number of years. I didn’t particularly care about whether or not it was subscribed to or not because it was selfish–it was more for me than about me. Eventually a deep friend and mentor (spiritually) got into the blog and insisted that I think about using some of it for a book. He stayed on me like a dog on a bone, and eventually I wrote the book and had it published. This will be the book that I’m sending you. Long story short my friend, I would offer you the same encouragement as Norm offered me–write the book. You have much to share ! And, best yet–you can do it!
Joe…I go hot and cold about our website. It is mostly for family and friends. I don’t advertise the site and realize that it is (like FaceBook) egocentric in nature. Like you though, a lot of what I post is for my own edification…I need to listen to what I am saying. A book is not for me at this point in time. I have friends who have published. Writing has always been in the recesses of my mind I suppose since in college I was a pre-med English Major…I was intrigue by Somerset Maugham who was a physician as well as an author…
A good way to keep up with friends.
